Job summary

Barnabus is seeking a Homelessness Navigator to support individuals affected by long-term street homelessness across Manchester. You will provide trauma-informed, person-centred guidance, helping clients build confidence and life skills while coordinating with partners to secure suitable housing.

The role includes ~8 client caseloads, multi-site outreach, and collaboration with the Case Work Team Leader. Salary £30,000 per year, 40 hours weekly, fixed-term 2.5 years.

Qualifications

• Not required: prior homelessness experience.
• Experience working with vulnerable people is beneficial.
• Trauma-informed approach and person-centred care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Be a consistent first point of contact for clients.
• Maintain a caseload of around 8 clients and coordinate with the Case Work Team Leader.
• Provide intensive support for clients with complex needs and trauma histories.
• Holistically assess clients and create personalised support plans addressing housing and other needs.
• Coordinate with multiple agencies to secure long-term housing and support.
