Compass Community Schools in the United Kingdom is seeking an HLTA to support children with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work closely with teachers, deliver targeted sessions, manage resources and help create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

As part of a trauma-informed approach, you’ll receive extensive therapeutic training and support, collaborate with families and local teams, and contribute to both the academic curriculum and enrichment activities to help

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH and diverse needs.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and use calm, clear communication.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in the classroom with groups or 1:1 sessions.
• Manage classroom resources and participate in trips and visits.
• Engage with children during lunch and develop positive behaviours.
• Contribute to therapy sessions and reflect on challenging periods.
• Help deliver the curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
