Job summary

The YOU Trust is seeking a Female Domestic Violence & Abuse Support Worker (DVA Worker) to join PARAGON in Swindon. You will provide practical and emotional support to women, families and individuals affected by domestic violence and abuse, delivering trauma-informed interventions and ensuring a whole-family approach.

Role requires flexible hours including evenings and weekends, travel across the county, and safeguarding knowledge.

Qualifications

• Health & Social Care qualification or NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Experience supporting women, men and children who have been subject to domestic violence and abuse
• Car driver with willingness to travel across the county for meetings/training
• Understanding of domestic violence and abuse issues affecting families
• Experience and knowledge of safeguarding adults and children

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse.
• Deliver a range of interventions with partners to ensure a whole family approach.
• Lead on assessments, drop-ins and group work in accommodation or community settings.
• Organise campaigns and awareness events and coordinate parenting support interventions.
