Job summary

GreenSquareAccord Limited is recruiting a Support Worker to join the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, providing support to people living in safe accommodation. You will work with customers to agree a personalised support plan that meets immediate safety needs and supports recovery.

You will operate in a trauma-informed way, coordinating with wider staff and other professionals, making referrals to statutory and specialist agencies as required. A flexible, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people, particularly with those affected by domestic abuse.
• Experience of multi-agency working, managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of a diverse client group
• Knowledge of welfare benefits.
• Ideally experience of supporting customers with multiple needs.
• UK driving licence with access to a vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide support to people living in safe accommodation and agree a support plan that meets their immediate safety needs and starts the process of recovery.
• Link customers to other specialist support services where required.
• Work in a trauma informed way.
• Work effectively with the wider staff team and other professionals, making referrals to statutory and specialist agencies.
• Be willing and flexible, able to work as part of a team or alone.
