Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Part-time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Core Team at Baghill House Health and Wellbeing Centre, Pontefract. You will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, delivering trauma-informed OT assessments and interventions to community clients, with opportunities for supervision and PEAP qualifications where applicable.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
• Post-registration experience in mental health/learning disabilities.
• Supervision of staff and/or students.
• Willingness to undertake post-graduate training.
• Experience in mental health/learning disabilities settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Engage in group and individual OT activities to enable community living.
• Supervise junior staff and students as needed and support PEAP qualification if required.
• Contribute to clinical and managerial supervision and maintain high standards of care.
• Produce timely reports, audits and outcome measures; maintain clinical records.
