Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for the Home Assessments Team in the West Midlands. This part-time role spans 18.5 hours across three days, with days to be agreed, based at the Inpatients Therapy Centre in Platt Brook Way.

You will assess complex cases, prescribe equipment, train carers, and support safe discharges in the community, with HCPC registration required and IR35 compliance.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration details are required.
• Compliance with IR35 regulations is essential.
• Ability to provide National Insurance number and smart card details (if applicable).
• Experience managing patients with complex needs within an Occupational Therapy setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs using Occupational Therapy assessment tools.
• Recommend and prescribe necessary equipment and train carers, staff, and relatives on proper usage and maintenance.
• Assess patient abilities to ensure safe discharge, including conducting home assessments in the community to inform future placement decisions.
