Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking a Children’s Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to children and young people in care settings and community programs. You will be a positive role model who helps young people feel safe, supported and encouraged while promoting independence.

This role requires a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Access to your own vehicle for work.
• Available to work a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week.
• Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent and trauma-informed care for children and young people.
• Build positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect.
• Support daily routines, education and life skills.
• Encourage hobbies, healthy routines, and community participation.
• Transport young people to school, appointments and activities.
• Work closely with social workers, families and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes.
