Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking passionate Children’s Support Workers to join our team in the United Kingdom. You will provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to vulnerable young people, build positive relationships, support education and life-skills development, and advocate for their voices.

The role involves meal preparation, attending medical appointments, and helping children move toward independence, with flexible shifts including nights and weekends. DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary).
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience.
• Flexibility to work waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins when required.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care.
• Build positive relationships and encourage healthy routines.
• Prepare meals, support education, and develop life skills.
• Advocate for young people and ensure their voices are heard.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
• Transport young people using your own vehicle when required.
• Help them move confidently towards independence.
