Job summary

Staffordshire County Council in Tamworth is recruiting for a role in our children, young people and families service, residential home. You will work as part of a team to provide emotional and practical care for young people with complex needs, on a shift rota including evenings and weekends.

We offer comprehensive induction, training, supervision, and opportunities for professional development in a supportive environment with manageable caseloads and a focus on safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential settings with young people is desirable.
• Understanding of safeguarding and recording requirements.
• Willingness to complete mandatory and additional training.

Responsibilities

• Work within the children's home, supporting a young person with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
• Operate on a shift/rota basis including evenings and weekends.
• Provide emotional and practical care as part of a team.
• Engage in 1:1 sessions addressing emotions and behaviours with supervision.
• Complete mandatory training and professional development.
