Job summary

Hampshire County Council seeks a Registered Manager for an Ofsted-regulated Children's Home in Hampshire. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance and lead a dedicated team with a Deputy Manager and multi-agency partners to support vulnerable children.

You will champion trauma-informed care, safety, and positive outcomes for children aged 10–17, with on-call duties and competitive enhancements as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing children's homes or similar care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the home in line with its Statement of Purpose and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure statutory, regulatory and health and safety requirements are met as Responsible Person under relevant legislation.
• Champion child-centred practice, build strong relationships with children, and ensure care plans are followed.
• Collaborate with families, professionals and external agencies to support positive outcomes for children.
• Develop and support staff through recruitment, training, supervision and performance management.
• Manage resources, including budgets, staffing and equipment, to run the home efficiently.
