Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is seeking passionate Support Workers to help vulnerable children and young people. You’ll provide trauma-informed care, build trusting relationships, support education, meals, and activities, and advocate for each child’s voice.

Applicants should have experience with children or young people, a UK driving licence with access to a car, and be comfortable with waking nights, weekends, and DBS checks. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, paid or voluntary.
• Full UK driving licence and own car.
• Patience, empathy and emotional resilience.
• Flexible approach including waking nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Clear Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported.
• Build positive relationships and promote healthy routines.
• Prepare meals, support education, and encourage life skills.
• Advocate for their voice and ensure they feel heard and valued.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
• Use your own vehicle to transport young people when needed.
• Help them move forward with confidence into their next chapter.
