Job summary

Wilderness Way is seeking a Team Leader to guide a residential care home, ensuring safe, consistent and high‑quality support for children. You will lead shifts, mentor staff and champion trauma‑informed approaches to help children thrive.

You’ll oversee care plans, collaborate with families and professionals, and drive safeguarding and continuous improvement while supporting colleagues’ development and progression within Wilderness Way.

Qualifications

• Brings leadership experience, including coaching or mentoring teams.
• Experience in residential childcare or similar settings with vulnerable children.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure safe, high‑quality care.
• Coach and support Residential Support Workers to build confidence and best practice.
• Champion trauma‑informed care and support positive environments for children.
• Ensure children's voices are heard and reflected in care.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and records for high standards.
