Job summary

Wilderness Way is seeking a Children's Residential Team Leader in the Penrith area. You will lead shifts, ensure safe, high-quality care, and mentor Residential Support Workers to deliver outstanding support to children.

You will champion trauma-informed care, ensure children's voices are reflected in care plans, and drive continuous improvement across the home while working with families and professionals to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience in residential childcare supporting children with emotional, behavioural or complex needs.
• Proven leadership experience in coaching, mentoring or shift leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure safe, high-quality care for children.
• Coach and support Residential Support Workers to build confidence and best practice.
• Champion trauma-informed care and nurture environments where children thrive.
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and records for regulatory standards.
• Lead safeguarding on shift and collaborate with families, schools and professionals.
• Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement in the home.
