Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the CAMHS Team at Clayfields House Secure Children’s Home on a 10-month maternity cover contract. You will work at the forefront of trauma-informed, person-centred care with vulnerable young people.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
• Recognised AHP degree or diploma in a relevant field
• Experience with children and young people in CAMHS, youth justice or social care

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive speech, language and communication assessments.
• Design and deliver evidence-based, individualised intervention programmes.
• Provide consultation, advice, and training to colleagues to embed communication-inclusive practice across the service.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, education staff and the MDT to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Contribute to service development and innovative approaches to supporting communication in a secure setting
