Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a compassionate CAMHS Practitioner to join the Citywide Targeted CAMHS Team. You will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop formulations and deliver short-term, evidence-based interventions for children, young people and families.

Working within a trauma-informed, relationship-based framework, you will collaborate with education, health, social care and the voluntary sector to ensure timely, child-centred support, while managing safeguarding

Qualifications

  • Qualified professional in Social Work, Nursing, Teaching or related discipline at degree level.
  • Specialist training or qualification in an evidence-based therapeutic intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop formulations.
  • Deliver short-term, evidence-based interventions to children, young people and families.
  • Assess and manage safeguarding risk and work within multi-agency systems.
  • Provide individual, family and group interventions and contribute to CAMHS access and care planning.
