Job summary

The Sigma Trust is seeking a capable Behaviour Support Worker for the GROW Provision at the Stanway site in Colchester. The role focuses on supporting KS3 students with social and emotional wellbeing needs within an enhanced provision.

You will deliver high quality specialist educational support, help pupils progress socially and academically, and work closely with families and carers while maintaining safeguarding and partnership practices across the trust.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in learning support/behaviour support or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Ability to work flexibly and creatively.
• Proactive contributor to a team supporting children, their families and carers.
• Able to communicate with parents/carers to ensure partnership and reviews.

Responsibilities

• To support in providing high quality specialist educational support for KS3 children whose needs are related to social and emotional wellbeing;
• To support in enabling children to make demonstrable progress in their social and emotional development and with their learning, building on strengths and resources of the child;
• To develop, nurture and model positive adult and peer relationships in line GROW’s values and expectations.
• To ensure that all safeguarding and child protection matters are dealt with in line with policies and procedures and statutory requirements.
