Job summary

The Sigma Trust is recruiting for a Behaviour Support Worker to join the Secondary GROW provision at Stanway in Colchester. You will support students with social and emotional wellbeing needs and contribute to a personalised curriculum. The post is 37 hours per week over 39 teaching weeks, with a fixed term until 31 October 2027.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in learning support/behaviour support or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Able to contribute pro-actively to a team supporting children, families and carers.
• Able to assess progress, performance and suggest appropriate strategies to support development.
• Able to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with children, families and other adults.

Responsibilities

• Support high quality specialist educational support for KS3 children with SEMH needs.
• Help children progress socially, emotionally and academically.
