Job summary

Northumberland County Council invites applications for a dedicated Behaviour Support Officer at Kyloe House, Stannington. The role supports learning for young people in a secure home setting, under CALM, with school days from 09:15 to 16:00 and shifts from 08:00 to 16:50. Access to LGPS and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people to support their learning.
• Planning, preparing and supporting in lessons as well as monitoring pupils’ achievement.
• Able to meet CALM requirements.

Responsibilities

• Advance young peoples’ learning in a range of classroom settings, including individual pupils, groups and whole classes where the teacher is not present.
• In liaison with the class teacher, plan, prepare and support in lessons, and monitor, record and report on pupils’ progress.
