Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a special interest in Trauma to join the busy Plastic Surgery department in Salisbury. The post includes involvement with the Major Trauma Centre at University Hospital Southampton and is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The ideal candidate will have completed specialist training in Plastic Surgery, be a competent, independent hand and microsurgeon, and demonstrate this via their logbook, with significant Trauma

Qualifications

• CCT in Plastic Surgery leading to GMC Specialist Register entry.
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Significant experience in Plastic Surgery Trauma and microsurgery.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead trauma services within Salisbury Foundation Trust and University Hospital Southampton.
• Support management of general plastic surgery patients.
• Coordinate with bookings to optimise theatre lists.
• Engage in clinical governance, audits and teaching of junior staff.
