Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Ashbourne to support busy daily transport operations and coordinate deliveries with customers, drivers and internal teams.

You will plan daily transport activities, schedule orders and maintain delivery documentation while ensuring accurate records in the CRM system. A proactive, customer-focused candidate with 2–3 years in logistics will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or supply chain.
• 2–3 years' experience advantageous.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills and confidence using multiple systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to commute reliably to Ashbourne.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transport activities across the company fleet and third-party providers.
• Schedule customer and collection orders.
• Manage delivery schedules, ETAs and operational changes.
• Liaise with customers, drivers and departments across the business.
• Create pick lists and delivery documentation.
• Provide inbound logistics support, including dealing with HGV drivers, EU vehicle documentation and vehicle weighments.
• Investigate delivery issues and customer queries and coordinate solutions.
• Maintain accurate records on the CRM system.
• Support colleagues across different areas of the logistics function when required.

What will you be doing?

No two days will be exactly the same. You’ll be at the heart of the logistics operation, helping to ensure deliveries reach customers efficiently and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and coordinating daily transport activities across the company fleet and third-party logistics providers
• Scheduling customer and collection orders
• Managing delivery schedules, ETAs and operational changes
• Liaising with customers, drivers and departments across the business
• Creating pick lists and delivery documentation
• Providing inbound logistics support, including dealing with HGV drivers, EU vehicle documentation and vehicle weighments
• Investigating delivery issues and customer queries and helping coordinate solutions
• Maintaining accurate records on the CRM system
• Supporting colleagues across different areas of the logistics function when required

• Previous experience within transport, logistics or supply chain, with around 2-3 years' experience advantageous
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good IT skills and confidence using multiple systems
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• The ability to stay calm and organised when priorities change
• A proactive, positive and team-focused attitude
• The ability to commute reliably to Ashbourne
