Pinnacle Group is seeking a Transportation Scheduler to manage day-to-day admin and operational support for the logistics team at Carrington, Manchester. You will arrange transportation for bulk and packed products, liaising with internal and external contacts to allocate stock and manage costs.

The role requires SAP experience, strong organisation, and coordination across UK, Europe and international destinations. Permanent, 37.5 hours/week, Mon-Fri, with own transport needed due to location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in shipping and warehousing.
• NVQ3 level in manufacturing or supply chain.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Schedule transportation requirements for bulk and packed products.
• Coordinate with Logistics Service Provider to optimise warehouse and shipping activities.
• Arrange customs documentation and SAP deliveries for customs activities.
• Coordinate booking of extra costs related to shipping (demurrage, surcharges).
• Liaise with hauliers to meet customer delivery dates and verify load timetables.

Pinnacle Group is looking for a highly organised Transportation Scheduler to manage the day-to-day administrative and operational support to our logistics team.

You will be joining our Workplace FM Team based at Carrington, Manchester M
31. Pinnacle Workplace delivers tailored facilities management solutions across cleaning, security, catering and specialist industrial services.

With nearly 600 colleagues nationwide, the team supports clients in manufacturing, retail, education and office environments.

Your role will involve arranging and organising transportation of bulk and packed vehicles, using the Delivery Due List (DDL) and Warehouse Management (WM) module to allocate stock by liaising with internal and external contacts, e.g.

To manage the SAP extra costs for transportation and provide customs information as required.

This is a Permanent Role x
37.5hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.

Please note that there are no public transport links to the location, so applicants must have their own means of transport.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities will include: Schedule the transportation requirements of the PP plant for both bulk and packed products.

Includes the requirements of shipping into the UK, Europe and International destinations.

Liaise with the Logistics Service Provider (LSP) to ensure warehouse and shipping office activities are optimised.

Identify the requirements for container loading and co-ordinate the activities required to ensure smooth collection and dispatch.

Liaise with “Freight forwarders and customs brokers” to ensure all the International shipping requirements are understood by Carrington and transmitted to the warehouse teams.

Arrange customs documentation after collecting routing information and preparing SAP deliveries with information required for customs activities.

Co-ordinate the booking of all extra costs related to shipping activities from Carrington site.

This which will include costs related to customer returns, re-routings, demurrage and all other surcharges Liaise with Sales / Hauliers to meet customer delivery dates Investigate Haulier complaints and provide information for management Check the Delivery Due screen for customer orders that are due for delivery, confirm with Haulier that they can meet the customer delivery date, assign product to the order using an agreed stock rotation policy & check that the vehicle arrives to load on time, to meet the required delivery date Liaise with other on site Logistic group members, i.e.

Plant Schedulers, Stock Management, Warehouse Group, and other members of the dispatch office Manage the DDL/TMS systems with reference to customer-specific requirements Carry out haulier reviews of performance with hauliers at least on an annual basis.

Learn and develop competency in other key roles within the Logistics team to ensure full business efficiency, multi-skilling, appreciation of the duties of colleagues and the ability to further develop own career.

Co-ordinate “Bags to Bulk” activities within the Logistics and warehouse teams Key Essential* requirements will include : Access to own transport

• due to location Experience of operating in an SAP environment.

Experience in excess of 5 years within a similar shipping and warehousing environment is preferred NVQ3 level or equivalent in manufacturing or supply chain based learning.

Must be fluent in written and verbal English Be effective in a variety of communication settings, listen to others, provide timely and helpful information to others, encourage expression of diverse ideas and opinions, Competent in a wide range of MS Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
