Job summary

Ocado Logistics, part of Ocado Group, is a global technology company specialising in online grocery and e-commerce fulfillment. We seek a Transport Team Manager to lead a drivers team, oversee fleet operations, and ensure regulatory compliance within a fast-paced environment.

You will manage shift patterns, develop staff, and uphold safety and service standards while representing the Ocado brand to customers and partners. This is a mid-senior, full-time role within our Transport department.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in transport, logistics or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of highway codes and driver regulations for mobile workers.
• Understanding of EU drivers hours rules and Working Time Directive.
• Experience in fleet, distribution, warehousing, freight or health and safety.
• Operator License awareness training desirable but not essential.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders and service providers effectively.
• Familiarity with HR policies and procedures.

• Manage daily operations of the transport department, including shift scheduling and fleet management.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of drivers to ensure high performance.

Overview Ocado Logistics, part of Ocado Group, is a global technology company specialising in online grocery and e-commerce fulfillment, handling the transport and logistics. Our highly automated Customer Fulfilment Centres are incredibly fast-paced and utilise groundbreaking technology. The Dordon CFC, a £200 million facility, is the world's largest, most productive, and sophisticated grocery fulfillment centre of its kind. Thousands of orders are dispatched daily from our state-of-the-art Customer Fulfilment Centres. About the Role We’re seeking a manager passionate about learning, leading and logistics to manage a team in our Transport department. As a Transport Team Manager, you oversee all aspects of our Transport operation and responsibilities related to our Operators License which include and are not limited to fleet, facilities, and team management. The role operates on a 42-hour per week schedule (average) with a 4 on 4 off pattern (12-hour shifts). It’s a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in a key role within a leading company. Although experience in logistics is beneficial, it’s not required. If you have strong transferable skills, we’d love to hear from you!
