Salary: Paying Up To £50,000 Per Year, Depending On Experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm

Location Details: Based in Central Birmingham

We are working with a West Midlands-based UK Transport and Haulage organisation seeking an experienced Transport and Warehouse Manager.

The role involves overseeing daily Warehouse and Transport operations, managing a team of warehouse workers, transport planners, administrators, and a fleet of drivers, both permanent and agency.

The ideal candidate will have a Management CPC (National minimum accepted), comprehensive knowledge of Transport operations (preferably within cross dock or pallet network environments), and management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage drivers, transport team, warehouse staff, and workshop/mechanics.
• Implement processes to improve productivity and efficiency, meet deadlines, KPIs, and strive for excellence.
• Coach and train staff to ensure excellent customer service.
• Oversee fleet and vehicle maintenance, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Ensure compliance with all company and client expectations.
• Main point of contact for collections and deliveries via traffic office team.
• Plan effectively to maximize profit and minimize operational costs.

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of transport and warehouse operations, including compliance.
• Management CPC (National minimum).
• Experience within pallet network or cross dock operations.
• Management experience in transport roles.
• Experience with transport-related software.
