Job Title: Transport and Warehouse Manager

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year, depending on experience.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm.

Location: Central Birmingham.

We are partnering with a West Midlands-based UK Transport and Haulage organisation seeking an experienced Transport and Warehouse Manager.

Role Overview

The Transport and Warehouse Manager will oversee daily Warehouse and Transport operations, managing a team of warehouse workers, transport planners, administrators, and a fleet of drivers, both permanent and agency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Management CPC (National qualification accepted as a minimum).
• Comprehensive knowledge of Transport operations, preferably within cross dock or pallet network environments.
• Management experience in a relevant capacity.
• Experience with transport-related software.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage daily operations of drivers, transport team, warehouse staff, and workshop/mechanics.
2. Implement processes to enhance productivity and efficiency, including reporting, meeting deadlines, and KPIs.
3. Coach and train staff, including drivers, to ensure excellent customer service.
4. Oversee fleet and vehicle maintenance, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
5. Ensure compliance with company and client standards at all times.
6. Act as the main contact for collections and deliveries via the traffic office team.
7. Plan operations to maximize profit and minimize costs.

Minimum Requirements

• Deep knowledge of transport and warehouse operations, including compliance.
• Management CPC qualification.
• Experience within pallet network or cross dock operations.
• Management experience within Transport.
• Familiarity with transport-related software.
