Position Overview

Fresh Direct in Dagenham is seeking a Transport Team Leader with experience in a busy operational transport environment. You will support the Distribution Manager in the daily operations of our Transport Department.

Your responsibilities include providing administrative support to drivers and the Transport Management team, managing driver rota, route planning, holiday cover, agency control, and ensuring legal and procedural compliance. You will deploy vehicles and drivers to meet business needs, and ensure transport paperwork is completed accurately and in line with company policies.

You should be confident in handling administration duties in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail for Tachographs, Titan, and Prophet systems. The role requires working on the computer, in person, and over the phone, adhering to transport legislation and company policies. Building good relationships with other departments and customers is essential, as is previous leadership experience and knowledge of the Working Time Directive.
