Position: Transport Team Leader

Fresh Direct in Dagenham is seeking a Transport Team Leader with experience in a busy operational transport environment. You will support the Distribution Manager in daily operations of our Transport Department.

Your responsibilities include providing administrative support to drivers and the Transport Management team, managing driver rota, route planning, cover for driver holidays, maintaining agency control, and ensuring legal and procedural compliance. You will deploy vehicles and drivers to meet business and customer needs, and ensure transport paperwork is completed accurately and in line with company policies.

You should be comfortable with administrative duties in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail for Tachographs and system maintenance (Titan and Prophet). The role involves working on the computer, in person, and over the phone, adhering to transport legislation, company policies, and procedures. Building good relationships with other departments and customers is essential, as is previous leadership experience and knowledge of the working time directive to manage drivers and drivers' mates confidently.
