CLEAN are recruiting for a Transport Team Leader at Nottingham Fairham, NG11 2AF. The role is a full-time, permanent position with a 4 on 4 off pattern, 6.00 pm–6.00 am, including weekends.

The salary is £40,762.95 per year, with pensions, life assurance, EAP, and bonus schemes alongside training opportunities. You will support the Transport Manager in managing the on-site team, conduct performance reviews, manage driver training, licensing checks and compliance, and help deliver exceptional

Responsabilités

• Conduct regular performance reviews and handle day-to-day operations, liaising with customers face-to-face or via phone/email.
• Carry out daily driver de-briefs and report any non-compliance.
• Manage driver risk profiles and identify training needs.
• Investigate and manage accidents.
• Assist in recruiting new drivers and other transport roles, including interviews.
• Coordinate Driver CPC training.
• Check licences and ensure vehicle and driver compliance.
• Support the Transport Manager to meet KPI and budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive and vehicle maintenance schedules.

Due to an increase in business and drivers, we are looking to recruit 2 additional Transport Team Leaders in to the team.

We are looking for proactive, people-focused Transport Team Leaders who can support our on-site transport function and help deliver an exceptional service every day.

The roles are offered on a full time, permanent basis, with a working pattern of 4 on 4 off, 6.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m.Please note this include weekends.

Your new role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Transport Manager in managing the on-site transport team, which will include:

• Conducting regular performance reviews, as well as dealing with day- to- day operations, including liaising with our customers either face to face or phone/email
• Carrying out daily driver de-briefs and ensuring any non-compliance is reported
• Managing driver risk profile and identifying and supporting driver training needs
• Accident investigation and management
• Supporting the recruitment of new drivers and other transport roles, including interviewing
• Driver CPC training
• Licence checking and ensuring driver and vehicles are legally compliant
• Supporting the TM to ensure KPI’s and budgetary targets are met.
• Ensuring driver and vehicle compliance in terms of WTD regulations, planned maintenance and inspections.

Requirements

What do I need to apply?

To be considered for the role, you will need previous experience of leading a fast-paced transport team, including the ability to engage and motivate your team, routing and scheduling of both vehicles and drivers and ensuring driver training and assessment is carried out. You will have the confidence to escal…??

You will ideally hold a valid CAT CE licence, up to date driver CPC and tacho card– if you have a CPC Manager qualification this would be an advantage, but not essential. An excellent understanding of transport compliance, such as working time directive and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable.

You will need good communication skills in English (our business language), proof of eigibilty to work in the UK and hold a bank account in your name or as part of a joint account.
