Diverse Talent Solutions Ltd is seeking a proactive Transport Supervisor to lead the night shift operations. The role involves planning and executing collection and delivery schedules via cost-efficient means, aligned with business objectives, customer service, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities include coordinating up to six rigid vehicles in Nottinghamshire, supervising six night drivers, handling driver and customer calls, and ensuring smooth handovers to the day team.

Qualificações

• Strong knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, Road Transport Regulations.
• Working knowledge of transport operation systems.
• Geographical knowledge.
• Relevant transport and planning experience.
• Analysing and solving logistic problems.
• Transport operation systems.

Responsabilidades

• Use the TMS to assign jobs and plan routes.
• Manage 6 night drivers including holidays and absence.

My client is seeking an proactive Transport Supervisor to run the night shift operation. The purpose of the role will be to plan and execute collection and delivery schedules via the most cost-efficient means, in line with the business objectives, customer service levels and current legislative requirements.

Job Role:

• Planning up to 6 rigid vehicles around Nottinghamshire
• Managing all relevant paperwork and utilising the TMS to assign jobs to plan effective routes
• Managing 6 night drivers including holidays and absence
• Taking calls from drivers and customers
• Receiving and providing an effective handover to the day team
• Decision making and problem solving should an issue arise

Experience/Skills required:

• Strong knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, Road Transport Regulations
• Working knowledge of transport operation systems
• Geographical knowledge
• Relevant transport and planning experience
