Overview

We are seeking a Transport Team Leader to join our site in Crewe. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of transport functions with a focus on Health and Safety & Transport compliance.

Details

This is a full-time, permanent position with a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern, 6pm-6am. The salary is up to £35,642 plus Night shift allowance, including 26.5 days of annual leave (bank holidays included). Key Responsibilities

1. Support the transport operation for the GXO TJX network on the open book contract.
2. Manage and coordinate team activities.
3. Ensure deliveries and collections meet contractual performance standards.
4. Proactively manage daily operations within the contract.
5. Coordinate absence and holiday cover, assisting as needed.

Requirements

1. Strong knowledge of telematics systems and Tachomaster.
2. Experience in a fast-paced transport environment.
3. Transport compliance knowledge and experience.
4. Previous team leadership experience is preferred.
5. CPC license is advantageous.
