Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Transport Team Leader for our busy Doncaster site. You will lead and develop a team of drivers and support staff, ensuring efficient transport planning and KPI delivery.

The role requires strong planning, excellent communication, and a proactive, hands-on approach. The position includes a shift pattern and benefits as part of a growing logistics operation.

You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and running of the transport operation., Leading and working as a team to be responsible for delivering operational performance and the maintenance of site systems and operational processes

• Ensure the efficient planning and running of the operation, including supporting people management processes and the management of a team of core drivers, agency and support staff.
• Effectively support the Transport Shift Manager to ensure KPI's are delivered in line with targets.
• Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure optimum performance and efficiency, whilst building positive working relationships with direct reports, peers and 3PL's.

• Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience managing multiple tasks and competing demands.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you'll be working on an 'any 5 from 7' shift pattern. Weeks one and two will be Monday to Friday and week three will be Sunday to Thursday (rotating every three weeks). The hours of work will be 14:00 - 22:00.

You will be paid a salary of up to £34,000 per annum.
