GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Transport Team Leader for our busy B&Q site in Doncaster. You will lead a team to ensure efficient planning, running of the transport operation and achievement of KPIs.

Responsibilities include people management, coordinating core drivers and agency staff, and working with the Transport Shift Manager and management team to optimise performance. The role operates on an 'any 5 from 7' shift pattern with a salary up to £34,000 per annum, plus benefits such as 25

Job description

GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Transport Team Leader, to work at our busy B&Q site in Doncaster. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and running of the transport operation.,

• Leading and working as a team to be responsible for delivering operational performance and the maintenance of site systems and operational processes
• Ensure the efficient planning and running of the operation, including supporting people management processes and the management of a team of core drivers, agency and support staff
• Effectively support the Transport Shift Manager to ensure KPI's are delivered in line with targets
• Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure optimum performance and efficiency, whilst building positive working relationships with direct reports, peers and 3PL's
  Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience managing multiple tasks and competing demands
• A strong team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
• Comfortable taking ownership of your work, demonstrating commitment and leading by example

  This is a full time, permanent position, where you'll be working on an 'any 5 from 7' shift pattern. Weeks one and two will be Monday to Friday and week three will be Sunday to Thursday (rotating every three weeks). The hours of work will be 14:00 - 22:00., You will be paid a salary of up to £34,000 per annum.
