Job summary

Blue Arrow in Bellshill is recruiting for an Assistant Transport Manager to join a major distribution operation. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will lead transport teams, drive compliance and oversee fleet performance in a busy 24/7 operation.

This role offers progression into Transport Manager positions, with 4 on 4 off days 06:00 - 18:00 and a salary up to £44,000. You will deputise when required and play a key part in continuous improvement across the network.

Qualifications

• Need proven transport leadership experience.
• Experience managing drivers and rosters.
• Strong understanding of transport compliance and planning.
• Track record of owning KPIs and driving performance.
• Excellent communication and people leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate transport teams.
• Manage driver resource and transport plans.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and regulations.
• Oversee fleet availability, maintenance and service schedules.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets and operational performance.
• Support customer service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deputise for the Transport Manager when required.
