Job summary

GXO is recruiting for a Transport First Line Manager to join our team in Greenford, supporting our customer Waitrose. You will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of transport operations, ensuring customer service, operational performance and colleague engagement targets are achieved.

This is a full time, permanent position, working a rotating pattern of 04:00–14:00, 09:30–17:30 and 15:00–23:00 across five from seven days.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in fast-paced transport, logistics, distribution or home delivery operations.
• Strong ability in planning and allocating workforce
• Solid understanding of current EU transport regulations and working time rules.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple operational activities and escalate risks as needed.
• Monitor daily performance and take proactive actions to protect service and compliance.
• Lead clear operational communications to keep colleagues informed and engaged.
• Support workforce planning to maintain appropriate operational coverage.
