Job summary

Culina in the UK is hiring a Transport Support Operator on a full-time permanent basis within our Contract Logistics team. You will debrief drivers daily and provide general administration support to the Transport department.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off rota, 6am–6pm, with a salary of £28,181 per annum and a focus on accuracy, timely communication with Customer Services, and maintaining transport records.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers on a daily basis.
• Check timesheets and PODs for accuracy.
• Scan and store PODs in the document management system.
• Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes in drop sequence.
• Print despatch notes and replenish despatch paper.
• Answer the telephone and assist with enquiries.
• Download drivers’ cards / tachographs.
• Inform Customer Services of ETAs.
• Update spreadsheets (run summaries, trailer checks).
• Depart loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.

As part of our Contract division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Support Operator on a full time permanent basis!

This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team.

Salary: £28,181 per annum.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.

Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator:

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using the document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
