Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking a Transport Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our in-house transport service. You will supervise drivers, allocate work, and respond to incidents, ensuring services run safely and efficiently.

The role requires a D licence, PCV CPC, supervisory experience in transport, and knowledge of transport legislation and safeguarding. You will help plan and coordinate activities, maintain records and support a customer-focused service delivery.

Competenze

• Category D driving licence and PCV Certificate of Professional Competence.
• Experience supervising operational teams, preferably in transport.
• Knowledge of transport legislation and safeguarding requirements.

Mansioni

• Plan, allocate and co-ordinate transport activities to meet service requirements.
• Supervise and monitor the operational team to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Allocate work to drivers and respond to incidents or changes in demand.
• Support induction, training and day-to-day performance of staff.
• Carry out driving duties when required, including school runs.
• Take service bookings and maintain routine records and reports.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
