Transport Supervisor at Menzies Distribution

Menzies Distribution is currently seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our busy team based in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient work distribution while complying with Transport Legislation, Health & Safety, and customer service standards.

What You Need to Know:

• Pattern: Monday to Friday days (with occasional Saturdays)
• Hours: 08:00-17:00
• Holidays: 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays
• Monthly pay
• Onsite parking
• Daily control and execution of the transport plan, with adaptability as necessary
• Briefing and de-briefing drivers to ensure safe and timely deliveries in accordance with Menzies standards
• Handling driver and customer inquiries professionally
• Awareness of vehicle earnings and efficiencies and their importance
• Effective communication with drivers, customers, and operations
• Ensuring site compliance with all regulations
• Maintaining transport systems and screen compliance
• Managing site Health and Safety procedures
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Experience working in a busy Transport office
• Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph, and WTD legislation
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement principles
• Good educational background
• IT literate
• Knowledge of Health & Safety standards
