Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Senior Programme Officer to shape Edinburgh's transport strategy and partnerships, leading high-value projects and ensuring delivery across public realm, active travel and transport systems.

You will coordinate with government and public/private bodies, manage contracts and budgets, and report to senior management, driving improvements across Edinburgh while promoting an inclusive, sustainable transport vision.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in a relevant discipline.
• Significant experience delivering high-value civil engineering projects.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing contracts and budgets on major programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and oversee construction of major transport projects.
• Manage contracts and interfaces with government and public/private bodies.
• Drive partnerships across the City Region Deal and local transport enhancements.
• Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and reporting to senior management.
