Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a Transport Strategy Officer to help drive innovative change across our communities in South West Wales. You will develop and deliver modern, sustainable transport strategies and policies, focusing on walking and cycling, and work with leaders to shape plans and secure funding.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 GCSEs (including Maths and English at Grades A-C), plus a BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field like transport planning, engineering, or environment.

Responsibilities

• Champion walking and cycling, bringing the vision of safer, greener travel to life.
• Shape and update future walking and cycling plans with a focus on innovation and progress.
• Work hands-on with exciting transport initiatives, from concept to implementation.
• Help apply for funding to unlock the next generation of transport projects.
