Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, seeks a Solutions Development Manager to lead the design of commercially competitive transport solutions. You will work on tender responses across Midlands/North depots, coordinating with regional directors and operations teams to shape winning bids.

The role demands strong analytics, cost modelling, and advanced Excel skills, with travel as part of the duties. Weekdays, 40 hours, with a key focus on end-to-end tender execution.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UK third-party logistics sector and transport operations.
• Experience in logistics solutions design with commercial accountability.
• Strong analytical skills to build operating cost models.
• Ability to present proposals to Board level.
• Lead tender processes with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Excel: macros, pivot tables, lookups.

Responsibilities

• Lead the solution design of tender responses for transport opportunities.
• Plan and coordinate project and tender responses; determine bid scope.
• Collaborate with Regional Operations Directors and ops teams.
• Design warehouse and transport solutions and related IT systems.
• Develop models to determine resources and feed into financial models.
• Prepare tender documentation and executive presentations.
• Support marketing materials and industry knowledge activities.
