Culina is the UK’s leading independent specialist supply chain partner, trusted by top brands nationwide. We’re recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager - Nights in our Transport Logistics division.

The role runs 4 on, 4 off nights from 18:00 to 06:00 and focuses on ensuring safe, KPI-driven transport operations. You’ll lead driver productivity, planning, safety, and compliance while coordinating with site teams and customers.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with the Myworkforce team to ensure resource planning and cost-efficient use of drivers and equipment.
• Own and monitor the driver de-briefing process to maintain performance standards.
• Manage driver workforce to ensure legal compliance and accurate records.
• Oversee driver performance to meet or exceed KPIs.
• Promote Health & Safety policies within transport operations.
• Keep personnel files up to date with licences and training.
• Support site audits and work with Transport Manager to hit KPIs.
• Assist daily operations on site and respond to urgent queries.
• Participate in recruitment to cover peaks.
• Escalate accidents and incidents with proper reporting.
• Identify maintenance and repair issues on site.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks and defect reporting procedures.

Job Description

Life in this role

As part of our, Transport Logisticsdivision, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Shift Manager - Nights.

As a Transport Shift Manager will work collaboratively to ensure effective running of a busy transport operation, ensuring that Operational KPIs are met and that the operations are conducted strictly in accordance with legal requirements, whilst helping to formulate and deliver the short, medium and long-term resource plans for your area.

Working hours:4 on 4 off nights, 18:00-6:00

Key Duties of Transport Shift Manager:

• Work collaboratively with our Myworkforce team ensuring compliance of all MWF activity and tasks including resource planning and managing the safety and cost-effective utilisation of all drivers and equipment.
• Responsible for owning, monitor and controlling the driver de-briefing process to ensure that agreed standards of performance are consistently achieved by effective communication and management.
• To manage and support driver workforce all drivers whilst engaged on activity to ensure full legal compliance. Ensure records are correctly completed and maintained in accordance to the procedure.
• Manage all aspects of driver performance to achieve or surpass expectations and KPI's.
• Promote company Health & Safety and employment policies within the transport operation.
• Ensuring all personnel files are up to date incorporating licence validation, personal details, completed training.
• Responsible for site audits and works closely with the Transport Manager to ensure KPI’s are met.
• To support the daily operational workflow on the customer site by providing answers to urgent queries.
• Actively work with the customer and site management team to achieve performance addressing any concerns or questions within a timely manner.
• Manage the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff as required to cover business peaks.
• Ensure that the Transport Manager & the H&S team are made aware of all accidents, dangerous occurrences & near misses and that the relevant reports are completed for all such incidents.
• Responsible for identifying and escalating any maintenance and repair issues on site and within depot.
• Ensure that all daily vehicle check, vehicle inspection & defect reporting procedures are in place.
