Job summary

GXO is seeking a Transport Shift Manager for the B&Q site in Swindon. You will lead a shift of team leaders, clerks and drivers, directing daily operations from 06:00 to 14:00 on an any 5 from 7 basis, ensuring efficient, compliant transport services.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum plus benefits such as 33 days leave, on-site gym, private healthcare, dental plan, pension, GXO University and more.

Qualifications

Experience in a large, fast-paced transport environment at a supervisory level.
Strong leadership with excellent communication to drive a can-do attitude.
Experience in managing conflicting priorities with planning and organizing in transport operations.
Comfortable taking responsibility and leading by example.

Responsibilities

Ensure efficient running of the operation and drive performance through site systems and processes.
Identify and resolve transport issues and, where appropriate, elevate to Transport Manager to ensure compliance.
Analyse reports against KPI and take actions to improve results.
Lead the transport team through growth and introduce change positively.
