Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Transport Shift Manager in the UK to coordinate daily national collections and deliveries, overseeing a 24/7 team and driving efficiency. The role emphasizes leadership, cost discipline and a customer-focused service level across a complex network.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will manage planners and operators, deputize as needed, and ensure compliance with safety and DG procedures while delivering best-in-class performance.

• Strong people leadership and change-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily national collection and delivery planning for ~2000 consignments.
• Lead a 24/7 transport team, ensuring staffing and skill levels meet demand.
• Report on day-to-day planning, execution and financial performance.
• Deputise for Transport Manager when required and mentor planners/operators.
• Collaborate with Distribution Partners, Contractors and Fleet assets.
