Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, x3 shift rotation, covering AM 05:00 - 13:00, Backs 13:00 - 21:00 & Nights 21:00 - 05:00

Location: Birmingham - B24 9HY

What does the role entail?

• Supporting in providing a fully compliant operation, operational expertise, ensuring the transport operation is efficiently run within the agreed cost perimeters and ensuring a first-class service to meet contract objectives and customer demands.
• Achieving targets, ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining team morale, meeting personal development objectives, and remaining compliant.
• Managing a team of 8 controllers and up to 300 drivers, including subcontractors and agency staff; coordinating, supervising, and reporting on their activities; providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training, and development.
• Accountable for delivering all aspects of the shift operation, ensuring efficient and customer-focused service.
• Analyzing reports against KPIs and advising on actions to improve results.
• Fostering an environment that promotes continuous improvement, sharing ideas and best practices.

What do we need from you?

• Experience in transport within supply chain or logistics sectors.
• Management experience.
• IT literacy, especially with MS Office.
• Experience with Tachomaster, Microlise, Key2 is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
