Job description

Opportunity for an experienced leader in transport operations to join the team as a Distribution Shift Manager at our Fresh Direct (a Sysco company) depot in Bicester, Oxfordshire, on a permanent basis. You'll play a key role in a dynamic and fast-paced distribution environment, taking charge of shifts to ensure our team consistently performs to the highest standards.

Position Details

1. Salary: £22,800 per annum plus a great range of benefits
2. Working Days: Sat - Mon
3. Hours: 9am - 5pm (Flexibility required during peak season)
4. Hours per week: 24 hours
5. Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire

Role Overview

From day one, you’ll be at the heart of our transport operation, overseeing driver performance, maintaining compliance with all legislative and company requirements, and driving initiatives that improve efficiency and service levels. As a strong people leader, you’ll work closely with the Distribution Manager to develop and inspire a high-performing team of drivers and administration colleagues. You’ll be responsible for managing costs, staying within budget, and cultivating a positive, supportive, and professional working environment where colleagues feel valued and motivated.

Candidate Requirements

We’re looking for someone with a solid understanding of transport legislation and operational requirements. Ideally, you’ll hold a Management CPC qualification, or be an experienced leader ready to work towards becoming a transport professional.
