Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Transport Shift Lead for our Market Drayton Depot to lead by example, coach a busy transport team and drive continuous improvement across our transport operations.

You will manage KPI reviews, performance coaching and development plans, while promoting health and safety, ensuring compliance and collaborating with other departments to improve overall business performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport or logistics leadership.
• Strong coaching and team development skills.
• Proactive with a drive for continuous improvement.
• CPC in Transport Management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead team to meet OGSM objectives and KPIs.
• Coach and develop staff; manage performance reviews.
• Drive safety culture and investigations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with legal and DTAS criteria.

Are you an experienced transport leader ready to drive performance across a busy logistics operation? This permanent Transport Shift Lead opportunity at our Müller Market DraytonDepot will see you lead by example, coach and develop your team, and drive continuous improvement across our transport operations.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead your team to deliver OGSM objectives, goals, strategies and measures.
• Drive operational excellence through KPI management, Daily Operations Reviews and performance coaching.
• Manage performance reviews, development plans, employee relations and succession planning effectively.
• Champion health and safety, leading investigations and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Ensure legal and audit compliance across shift operations and lead the team in meeting DTAS best-practice criteria.
• Collaborate across departments to improve business performance and act as the escalation point for farm services issues.
• Promote and embed MMID behaviours throughout the team.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in a transport or logistics leadership role.
• Strong leadership skills, with a passion for coaching and developing teams.
• A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
• A solid understanding of inbound operations.
• A CPC in Transport Management is desirable.
