Job summary

Civica is seeking a Technical Product Manager for Transport in Manchester to own the backlog, write precise user stories, and guide cross-functional teams through product delivery. You will align with Civica’s strategic goals and drive cloud-based product initiatives across fleets and delivery operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Technical Product Manager in software/PM
• Ability to create/write clear user stories with acceptance criteria
• Prioritise features based on customer needs & feasibility
• Strong technical discussions, code reviews, architecture input
• Understand customer needs and deliver value through product decisions

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering to ensure solutions meet requirements and are scalable
• Manage product backlogs and refine requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives to keep priorities clear
• Triaging issues with engineering and communicate with stakeholders on progress
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
• Make trade-offs with Product Manager when priorities clash
• Work with design, marketing, commercial and customer success teams
• Analyse data to inform product decisions and measure performance
