Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking an Associate in Transport Planning to join our Leeds/Sheffield team on a hybrid basis. You will lead transport planning projects, build lasting client relationships and help grow the business across Yorkshire while collaborating with Planning, Environmental and Engineering disciplines.

You will mentor staff, contribute to bids and deliver high-quality Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and related studies.

Qualifications

• Extensive UK transport planning consultancy experience.
• Relevant degree and professional membership (MCIHT or similar).
• Proven ability to win work and grow client relationships.
• Technical expertise in transport planning.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of transport planning projects across a diverse client portfolio.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Identify opportunities, support bids, and contribute to winning new work.
• Lead client meetings, presentations and stakeholder engagement.
• Mentor developing team members and support growth of the team.
