Job summary

Premier Placement Services is recruiting for a Transport Scheduler to coordinate the delivery operation across multiple sites, drivers and hauliers, ensuring schedules are realistic and compliant.

You will communicate schedules, track deliveries, and work with the Transport Manager to maintain vehicle servicing and MOT schedules while keeping accurate transport records. The role requires organisation, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience routing a substantial fleet of vehicles.
• CPC qualification, or willingness to obtain with company support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong IT skills, with training on industry software.

Job description

On behalf of a well-established client, we are recruiting for a Transport Scheduler.

The Role

As Transport Scheduler, you will play a key role in coordinating the delivery operation. You will be responsible for scheduling deliveries, working closely with other production sites, drivers, Customer Service team, customers and external hauliers to ensure deliveries are planned and completed efficiently.

This is a busy and varied role that requires excellent communication, strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule deliveries in accordance with drivers' working time requirements and relevant legislation.
• Communicate delivery schedules to production sites, company drivers and external hauliers.
• Track deliveries and act as a key point of contact for the Customer Service team and customers.
• Work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure vehicles remain compliant with MOT, servicing, cleaning and other required schedules.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate transport records.
• Coordinate multiple deliveries and respond effectively to changing requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, energetic and customer-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

Hours: 40 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday, typically 8.30 till 5 with weekend work when required.
