Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals Limited is seeking a Transport Planner to join our busy transport operation. Reporting to the Regional Transport Manager, you will oversee routing across multiple depots for drivers and vehicles, ensuring safe and compliant operations.

You will drive route efficiency and KPI delivery (on-time performance, JPV, vehicle uptime) while optimising schedules and using Paragon, Rotec or Job Watch. A strong knowledge of the UK road network and a proactive, resilient approach are

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning managing multiple locations, drivers and vehicles.
• Knowledge of KPIs and route optimisation.
• Experience with transport compliance and O licence regulations.
• Familiarity with Paragon/Rotec or similar TMS.

Responsibilities

• Improve route efficiency across multiple depots.
• Lead review and compliance to optimise schedules and 3PL usage.
• Deliver operational performance against KPI targets.
• Monitor KPIs: On Time delivery, JPV, accidents, VOR, POD/POC compliance.
• Reduce missed time-slots and late deliveries.
• Resolve transport issues for customers and drivers.
