Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics & Fulfilment is recruiting a Transport Planner to join our Rugby site. You will plan and execute collection and delivery schedules, optimise driver and vehicle deployment, and ensure schedules meet service levels and regulatory requirements.

You will use IT systems and the TMS to coordinate resources, work closely with workshops, and communicate plans to the transport team and customers to maintain efficient operation and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the Highway Code and transport regulations.
• Experience with transport operation systems.
• Geographical knowledge relevant to transport routes.
• Health and safety regulations awareness.
• Relevant transport and planning experience.
• Ability to analyse and solve logistic problems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deploy fleet and driver resources using IT systems and portals.
• Allocate vehicles/trailers and backloads efficiently.
• Coordinate with Workshop to ensure vehicle availability and schedule risks.
• Share plans with transport team to maintain service and efficiency.
• Manage staffing levels, including agency staff, to meet daily plan.
• Communicate with customers and hand over to stakeholders for delays.
• Plan next-day deliveries and manage bookings and quotes.
• Provide cross-training coverage and identify improvements.
• Maintain housekeeping and health and safety compliance.
